This picture orf a female rapper will be shown as an influence within my choice of costuming as within hip hop/ R&B / rap music magazines, females are always portrayed as very attractive and wearing hardly any clothes, therefore maybe in my contents page I plan on using a female within similar clothing. 

I wish to include nice, exotic looking scenery within my pictures also as shown in parts of this video. When I do photograph my female artist, I want the scenery to be based mostly poolside and in a warm setting.

 Within this magazine front cover the artist is portrayed in heavy, expensive looking jewellery. When I take my photos for my magazine, I intend on my main artist having accessories such as rings, bracelets and earrings to add to the anticipated look of a hip hop/ R&B/ rap magazine.

In this music magazine front cover, it shows a rap artist who is well established and he features in a suit. A lot of music magazines do show the more sophisticated side to artists by often placing the males in suits, this is something that will be reflected within my music magazine as I will show my artist in a suit at some point in the magazine.

Jerome, 20 is a school student who lives with and is heavily influenced by the Hip-hop/ Rap/ R&B music genre. Hip-hop is around Jerome at most points during the day, throughout his life. Whether he is enjoying social activities with friends, on a bus journey home, or listening to his older brothers collection stemming back to the 90's. 

R&B is also an active music genre in his life as his mother raised Jerome with the older musical stylings that have developed and grown into what is left in the industry today.Music is a big part of Jeromes life and as he sees his favourite genre progress and develop, he notices that the musical artists from this genre are becoming more powerful than ever, influencing millions across the world whilst making charitable decisions and changing lives - these are things Jerome too aspires to do as he as seen the struggle of peoples lives and how music can impact and help them through it.

Jerome has begun his hip hop influenced career through a fashion blog consisting of popular choices of clothing relating to this genre, by doing this Jerome has received a lot of attention nationally and is always sure to incorporate music and even literal song lyrics through the clothes he chooses to wear and designs. He aspires to design outfits for the most powerful within this genre of music industry and he is sure to end up doing so as he continues to be recognised by the public on larger scales.

Hip hop/Rap/R&B are part of Jerome's identity and although some may view it as just music, Jerome views it as a way of life- and a force to be reckoned with.

What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

My use of Photoshop has expanded through the creation of my school magazine as my understanding of the program was quite basic. I was able to learn and add effects to the magazine such as stroke and shadow effects which added depth to the page and enabled me to make certain texts stand out off of the page making it stand out.

My camera skills also improved as I learned the use of different shots such as medium shots, long shots, high angle shots. I was able to add effect to my magazine with the different use of camera shots which shows I have learnt the use of different technologies. I was also able to use the internet to learn how to use each of the technology items

Below are pictures I have taken around school that I will consider featuring within my school magazine: 

These pictures show a male and female 6th form pupil in the school smiling with books. This is the picture I initially pictured to be on the front cover of my magazine as shown in the previous post displaying my draft magazine cover.

These pictures show  young sixth form males in a classroom working on a computer. I could consider including this picture in my contents page and use a title of new IT equipment or the old equipment still being used, whilst they are still in very good condition.

The picture on the left shows a dinner lady and the picture on the right shows an Information Technology teacher. I could use this picture on my contents page as a feature within the magazine and head it 'Meet the Staff'

 

These pictures show students studying at luxury in the common room. This could also be featured on the contents page to show the luxury assets such as a common room within the school.

  

This picture shows 6th form students interacting with lower school students. This represents the bond within the school between students and the support provided by sixth formers.

 These pictures show young sixth form male from the performing arts programme in their characters. I may use them on my contents page to display the fun within these extra curricular classes and how deep they get into their characters.

 The picture on the left shows a student with a shoe he made in the technology department. The picture on the right shows a student happily smiling outside one of the school facilities. These could also be included in my contents page to represent the technology department.

These pictures show the scenery of FCH school. On the left is a bench pictured under some shade which looks quite serene. The picture on the right is a picture of the lower school playground.

School Magazine Pages; Drafts

This scanned image is my drawn draft of my school magazine. It shows a tall young 6th form male, and a smaller young 6th form female. The girl is holding books in her hand to represent the academic side of the school. I have chosen to have a male and female 6th form pair together for my front cover because it shows the mixed sixth form and the genuine happiness of the 6th formers in their school, as displayed on their faces. I have made the masthead in a traditional times new roman font in white, with shadowing to represent a traditional, classic school. I will add small annotations as I create my magazine cover to inform the customers of the content within the magazine.  

 This scanned image is my drawn draft of my school magazine contents page. I have allocated different categories of the magazine in boxes to look neat and structured. It is more appropriate to have a structured contents page to allow the reader to have an insight into what the magazine contains and the page numbers to find this in. There will be pictures displayed on the contents page too, to add colour and appeal to those more visually intrigued than those who prefer reading.
